I’m warming up today for a reading tomorrow night as part of the ongoing Fantastic Fiction reading series by Ellen Datlow and Matthew Kressel. This will be the first in-person event FF has held since they went online due to the pandemic and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ll be reading the opening twentyish pages of LEECH. Meanwhile, I just received the proof of LEECH to scan for last minute fixes and was shown a review (that hasn’t run yet) comparing my writing to Hank Early’s, one of my favorite crime writers working today.
