Fool’s Gold – the Story Behind “Gilda”

10 Apr Fool’s Gold – the Story Behind “Gilda”

Ink Heist partnered with Cutting Block Press to have each of the seven writers in THE SEVEN DEADLIEST write about their experience in writing about their particular sin. My sin was Avarice and my story “Gilda” appears first in the book, so Ink Heist ran my piece first. Click on the link below to read Fool’s Gold – My Dance with Avarice.

From the opening: “I was terrified when I started writing Gilda. Not frightened in the way I hope readers will be frightened, but terrified that I would miss the mark.

Because everything about writing Gilda was different.”
