The invites are out and the readers are assembled. If the gods favor us, June 2 will see us at Shade Bar in Manhattan for the launch of Hate House. Reading will be Milda Devoe, Scott Adlerberg, Nick Kaufmann and Ben Francisco Maulbeck. To everyone’s delight and horror there will also be a Q&A with Nick and yours truly.

Here’s the event description:

We’re gathering for readings and laughs, crepes and drinks to celebrate the debut of my psychological horror novel HATE HOUSE (and possibly some live group therapy in front of y’all). We’ll have readings from a great cast of writers, including Milda DeVoe, Scott Adlerberg, Ben Francisco Maulbeck and last but never least, Brooklyn’s own Nicholas Kaufmann. Arriving early is the best way to get a seat. If you haven’t been to Shade, it’s a book lover’s bar just south of Washington Sq Park, with a great team running the show. The crepes (savory or sweet) are fantastic if you’d like to sup there and the drinks are stellar. I may even have copies of the book on hand. Here’s to good weather, a fun crowd and convincing Ben to give us a fan dance after a few Mai Tai’s (I jest…sort of). See you in June!
