08 Nov Stop the Presses for Gilda in December!
I’m very excited to announce the December audiobook release of my novella GILDA, a terrifying tale of greed and consequences. First released in the 2019 anthology The Seven Deadliest, it will be narrated by the incomparable Linda Jones and is sure to warm the blackened hearts of horror fans in these dark winter months.
“Stories were the business of everyone in the long, high ceilinged lobby of the former French plantation. But this wasn’t a noisy gathering of the National Press Club where disheveled reporters crowded around an open bar. This was a very exclusive function. The group was small. Its meetings took place every two years.
The Whiskey & Ink Ladies Drinking Society numbered only five at any one time, no boys allowed. If things went right, I would be initiated into WILDS at the end of the visit. I was a legacy, all that remained of Ava Wood, a founding member of the society and first of the old ladies to die.”
I’ll share the cover art, release date and other details soon! In all seriousness, this may be the story I’m most proud of—I hope you enjoy it.
